Very nice. I like the choice of black and white, as well as the soft focus. An even softer one might even be better, but I for one don't know how to do one = P Nice work - 8

Very nice picture, I wish the second boy on the left wasn't cropped halfway out. I think it would have been better with him either completely in or completely out of the frame

Very cool angle. Is this a reflection? I'd say no, since the Elvis poster in the top left isn't reversed. If not, I'd like to know how you got this effect. It's a good band shot, but the lighting could be better, and the colors are a bit bland (then again, they seem to all be playing black instruments) nice job

Thanks for the comments and votes. Addressing the comments: The shot was taken in sepia mode, so I had very little control over the image. It's basically auto mode with a sepia filter.

re: Who are you? Matthew Brady?
Actually, I'd never heard of him until I saw this comment.

I don't really know what true sepia is supposed to look like, but I really liked the brightness and the 3-D quality of this shot. Hence, there is no post-production done other than that mentioned. I did not use any flash - the exposure is due to natural light falling through the trees. The full sized image is fairly overexposed. That's why I didn't show the ground under my uncle. The plants were far too bright. I also liked the framing, emphasizing the length of the gun, and attempting to meet the rule of thirds with my uncle.

I like the angle used. Different angles would produce different results. I don't know if it would be better, but next time I will take that into consideration = )

Finally, the image is waaay to clean, maybe cranking the ISO to 800 would have worked, but then I couldn't use the sepia mode. I would have loved to make it look older. Any suggestions as to how I can do this in-camera?

Very cute picture. It looks like the flash was used (though no red-eye = ) but the scene isn't bright enough. Also, I feel the element in the top right is unnessecary. This may have been better with an outdoor setting. Nice work

I like the lighting effect around your hand. Without it, this shot wouldn't be that interesting, but it brings the hand and the battery into a stronger focus. How did you do that? Nice play on the challenge topic

Wow, a brother and a sister getting along....certainly not the case with my sister and I when we were young. Nice job. Is this shot at an airport? At first I thought it was shot in a minivan or something, but how many minivans have what looks like a hardwood floor. Very good lighting for this indoor scene. I think that a more level angle might have worked better here, but that's just my opinion

Interesting expression. I'm not fond of the background though, it is too distracting (this may be out of your control) I would have at least turned the computer monitor off and gotten the paper out of the printer.
