Very interresting. I like what you've done, but find that the inclusion of the front cover of the magazine takes away from the overall look of the photo. It gives it a kind of snapshot feel.

I think your use of negative space here is a little extreme. Perhaps croping the shot to landscape format could help relieve that excess space. Other than that, I like the silouhette and it is a very good capture of a great moment.

Martin, you are truely the master of this type of photography. Excellent lighting. I also like the difference in contrast between your subject and the BG. She is very high contrast, yet your BG is very high key, with a soft focus kind of feel.

I'm pretty sure my monitor is properly calibrated, but I find that the detail in the sky is almost not there. I had to pump up the brightness to see that it was not just a blotch in the dark sky. Not sure if you were going for total darkness, or if you meant to have detail there. Anyhow, excellent capture of lightning, and well reflected in the lake. Just a little too much neg. space for my taste.

Beautiful. I think I would like to see this with just a little more contrast, but that's just me. Great pose, perfect look,and you have captured the eyes VERY well. A great portrait. I really like the wispy hair strands coming down around her face. Well done.
