Hotter Than Heyyyyy...No...Wait!!!!by 777STANComment: As you may have guessed by now, the theme of this photo is certainly not my typical genre. Yet it seemed apropos to use a bit of irony/ opposite of my hopes for those that I love.
I have readily admitted in my Bio that I believe in Absolutes (a truly un-PC concept in the contemporary mind,) but I must remain consistent in refusing to compromise personal integrity for the doubtful possibility of fleeting popularity.
That being said, I am totally convinced of the existence of Heaven and Hell as well as the Truth that every human soul in History will have an eternal residence in one of these two localities.
The photo representation here demonstrates the sad realization of the busy human who had no time to think about God, but who "came to himself" in Hell with the thought "Uh, Oh! This is for Real!" |

The Pedestal: Default Storage For D.P.Challenge!by 777STANComment: Originally posted by Alienyst: Not sure why the title has to include the second part after the colon. Makes no sense. |
Note to Alienyst (as well as everyone else who thought it without saying it): "I am sorry for any possible offense that this cryptic title may have caused. Just the opposite was my intent. I hope this clears things up because I Put D.P.Challenge Up On a Pedestal since I have been helped already in myriad ways! Thanks Loads, Guys!"
The best way to describe my "brain-wiring" is Free Association Picture Thinking. That leads me to my rather cryptic title. I appear to have written it in Jeopardyze. "The answer is 'A Place For Inexperienced Photographers To Display Gratitude For Their Improved Skills.'" My response would be, "Alex, the question is 'What Is The Pedestal: Default Storage For D.P.Challenge?'"
I hope & pray that I did not "burn out too many brain cells" in the minds of the very photographers to whom I was trying to give a High Compliment...in my mind at least. :) Stan |

On the Cloudsby karmatComment: Great encouragement, Lady! Great ministry & witness!
It reminds me of a sunset I photographed in the foothills just north of Chattanooga, TN a few years ago while I was a chaperone on a summer church youth group trip.
I set my Pentax ZX-7 to panorama.
Later, I had it processed to 4"x12" size, framed with the words "Watch, therefore, for you know not what hour your master cometh!", and gave it to my Dad.
He hung it (in the bedroom he always shared with my Mother) next to the door that led out to the rest of the house, and consequently, the rest of the world. (I know that he wanted to see it every day as he "shook off" his nightly lethargy to put on his daily responsibilities for the LORD.)
That is right where I found it the day the LORD did come for my Dad, March 29, 2002.
Writing this brings the Tears of Separation & Blessed Hope! I do miss him today, but I will see him again!!!! Stan |

In the Spotlightby GunnsiComment: Thanks for a unique visual experience. I will bookmark this in My Favorites since I always want to hone my skills with candids and since our only child will be three in September. Shanna began gymnastics around her second birthday, and I would like to be able to give her a photo of this nature one day as she increases her skills.
Would you mind preparing a "How Did They Do That?" guide for me? Thanks in advance. :) Stan |
