...Awayby PaulComment: And fast..
Beautiful image. At first and without reading the title, it made me think of a child and of the joy of running. So I found the contrast a bit disconcerting. Dark, harsh and less luminous than I would have liked. But then I finally realized the mood of the image, and it certainly works well. |

premonitionby LevTComment: I am wondering about the title and the shirt. Is he a baywatcher pre-emptively keeping her from venturing in the water by means of seduction? Surely the tone of the sea and the not too summerly outfit of the passers-by kind of divide the scene in two. The sheltered safety of the beach and the gray, moody sea. Or perhaps I am overthinking, still wonder about the tile though :) |

ragged tigerby skewsmeComment: This is either not HDR or an extremely subtle and effective use of it.
In any case, the result is an extremely pleasant, dreamy image, I love it, congratulations!

At the lake of fogby fridjoComment: Beautiful landscape and a magic moment. Rreally well framed and angled, it strikes a pretty good good trade-off between local and general contrast, without dodge and burn excesses. I think the stray light actually adds to the mood of the image and the feeling of being up there.
Switzerland?
Excellent job, congratulations!

Yin and Yangby millsaComment: Haikido.. It's not easy to capture the spirit of a deceivingly effortless-looking art. I very much like that the main subject is a woman, as it highlights the fact that quiet focus and economy of movements are here far more important than muscles and aggressivity (not that I have not know women extremely effective at very aggressive sports, but anyway). I love the slow shutter speed here, and the stillness of the heads and the firm eye contact between the opponents, another distinctive feature of this art I think.
As for the thrower not being completely in focus, I see your point but also appreciate that the lower half of the body is perfectly still, again stressing the economy of movements and her firm stability.
You did a great job of capturing the faces, in my opinion.
The only thing I don't like is the background, but surely when capturing real action something has to give and an higher angle to exclude the wall would have not perhaps been that effective.
Sorry, I just stumbled itno this by chance and felt like commenting.
Well done. |
