Intersting shot. Interesting interpretation. that counts for something. there is lighting. im having a hard time with the lack of focus on the lens. but hte shot on it;s own stands out. that's gooooood. would have been seven if sharper. have to knock you down one thre. sry. 6

It's not really in focus. THe composition is a bit ackward. Her head should be more i nthe front than on the left as it is now. And there is no controlled lighting. that's can be ok as long as the photo has something else to make up for it and it doesn't seem to to me. Now "wow" effect. Nothing that really stands out. 5

Great focus on the eyes with the use of shallow DOF. nice bokeh on jacket and branches. The eyes seem to catch my attention and i dont wan to look away. That's a good sign. Nice contrast and the use of a tweed jacket (patterns). 8? is that fair?

Focus could be better. there is a clear atempt to light this shot. Composition : The arm "infront" of the face is ok, but could be sharper to give the shot more of a Pop out effect. The lack of sharpness really gets me here and all in all this shot doesn't stand out too much for me. this would have been 6 but the lack of focus just bothers me. 5

Good lighitng and the composition is good. Some areas seem over processed, light the lady's jacket but it's not too bad. not a wow shot but a good shot neverthe;ess. above average. 7

portrait challenge and here we have a monument (in ottawa? in front of the parliament blg?). DOesn't meet cahllenge in my view. BUt the shot is great. Good composition. nice contrasts. glare is a bit annoying so i'll give you a 5 despite the DNMC

Sharp;good. Bokeh that gives a poping out effect; good. title: good and goes with the effective blurred background. Lighitning on the guy, great. 8...9..umm, let's go with nine seeing how everyone seems to be scoring low

Good shot. nice composition. good lighitng fro mthe front and back. there's a costume. gausian blurrrrrrr effective here. not my favorite photo in the sense that it doesn't do it for me but as photos go (lighting skill, editing, composition etc) is good. 8

ok, so this is not a "wow" shot, but it's nice. The capture is good. Real smiles with a real brotherly bond. there is a lack of controlled lighting and your tried to make up for it my dodging and burning. It's too obvious. Use a lower percentage next time, but either way, it will be spotted everytime i think. Also...the blur...for "cool" younf guys like these, why blur? I would blur when it comes to white horses and fairies etc, but here it kills the manly brotherly bond i find. 6 because it above average
