In my mind this is what made the picture unique - the relationship between the GM and the child is not exactly heart warming, which sometimes happens, it's a very real and unique perspective which I believe took courage to show. I really liked this the first time, but didn't think it would do too well due the perspective most people bring to these kind of shots - again well done.

wish she was looking at the baby

You could do so much more with these two... the perspective isn't very flattering. Try something more emotive.

Cute baby! May have helped if she was looking at the baby ...

She seems so detatched from the baby when she's looking away. I would have rather seen her engaging with the child. Nice range of tones though in this shot.

With borth the baby and grandmother looking to their right, it gives a strong since of direction in the photo that I find distraction. Better if the grandmother were looking at the baby or at the camera.

Looks like an impatient and annoyed Grandmother ... Lighting and composition is super tho.

There doesn't seem to be any connection between the grandmother and the baby in this picture.

The capture looks like as if granny doesn't really care much with the baby.

Nice picture! However, what I'm missing is the connection between the lady and the child . Although she is holing the child, the fact remains that she is looking out of the picture and that kills that very important connection "Magic" If you look at it the way I do and imagine the lady looking lovingly down to the child , you see what I mean and what's missing ...

Great lighting, horrible pose. Having her look the complete other way combined with the baby looking away gives a complete feeling of disconnect.

It would seem more natural for the grandmother to be interacting in some way with the baby. As it is, they seem to be unconnected elements.

Although the tecnical part looks right there is something i dont like. The face expression and position of the head doesnt fit to a person which is holding a baby.

Great grayscale tones, but a bit overdone on the smoothing effects. I like the vignetting. = 6

what a beautiful baby

touching image but I don't like the strong shadows on Grandma's face and I would think it would have worked better if she was looking at the baby, not away from the baby

Look at that family resemblence ... their facial expressions are so similar. Well done.

Ok, there is a raging debte about people's voting habits at the moment, so i will attempt to give a detailed comment with my vote:

Good lighitng and the composition is good. Some areas seem over processed, light the lady's jacket but it's not too bad. not a wow shot but a good shot neverthe;ess. above average. 7

Interesting portrait... she doesn't look all that interested in the child, which I imagine was your take. Definately different, and stands out in a large field.. 8.
