Wow... what a busy little guy! Great macro... wish the wings were just a bit more of the focal point in the context of this particular challenge, but such a great shot that it hardly seems to matter.

I like that you've chosen to leave just a bit of the wood where he was taking off from. Makes it more of a story of an event instead of just a bird flying in mid air, yet it's subtle and doesn't detract from the main focus. Very nicely done!

I'm so glad this shot was yours... you always take the time to give the explanations and stories behind your creative shots, and they're usually just as interesting as the shots themselves. It's great to read your progression from an idea, through the 'how-to', with the adjustments you needed to make to get that final shot. For instance, while I was voting, I was so impressed with how you could have possibly gotten the yolk and egg separated so neatly, I never made the connection to the lighting which completed the edge of the shape. Great job, and congrats on yet another ribbon! So, how many eggs did you actually go through? :)

I'm sure you've already gotten plenty of comments about the apparent editing around the boats and far shoreline. You would have been much better off simply bumping the contrast and leaving them as silhouettes rather than this.

Wonderfully captured moment! Mom clearly knows you're there, so you must have been very calm and stealthy to keep her from running away to protect her fawn.

Great shot! You can just hear him sniffing and feel him pushing his way through that opening. :) Perfectly centered works well here too, letting the viewer feel the whole story.
