Interesting that such a poor scoring shot didn't get many comments saying why it stinks. (Hey folks, if you give it a low score you are supposted to leave a comment why you did it!)

It's also in focus. There just happens to be alot of moisture in the air.

I think the highlights got blown when I was apparently careless in enhancing the contrast. The original image was fine. The colorcast (incandescent lighting) should have been removed when I set the white balance based on the rim of the bowl, but I guess not!

There were many comments negative about the light bulb. Since the shape was "bulb" I decided to toss in a non-organic bulb and picked one that I felt worked well for the composition, being roughly the size of a garlic bulb. OK, it was a bit of humor that seemed to go flat.

I like the geometric form of a circle in a square, which is why I went for a square composition.

Why the shallow focus, strange angle, and annoying background? Lemons are in focus and oysters (I guess) basically cannot be seen.

I don't like tilted cameras -- makes one spend time wondering why the plate and food don't just slide right off the table. Why have that (out of focus) fork in the foreground detracting from the food?
