I'm undecided how to feel about this. I like the focus and the angle. The background blur is pretty good as well. But I feel as though I'm about to be whacked by a member of the mob! So that should tell me that you conveyed emotion and did your job. So I'd say yeah I like it.

I dont know, I think K10guy may be off his rocker, this actually looks to have a hint of butterfly lighting to it. I wish she was more at a 45 to the camera with her body(since you were going for classic pose) and then have her head tilted a bit more. I love her eyes, they will cause you some big problems when she gets older with the boys. The 70-200 works very well on the 5D and 1DMKIII for portraits, but it was always a bit long on any 1.6 crop body I had. I'd buy this if it were my daughter. Of course I'd also lock her in the closet for the next........oh 50 years!

I like this, nice tight shot. Wonderful eye contact, good bokeh, I might maske the subject and clear up a bit of background noise but other then that. Nice job.

I like this, the dynamics are great, wish the interaction between the two subjects was better. And I agree there is either some artifacts or over sharpening done after last resize.

This is a good tight crop good shot as well. And this is a perfect example of how you would have faces if you were kneeling or on your bottom.

This is a decent shot good action, but this is an area where I think the background fooled your metering as the subjects and especially the ball seem to be on the lightly overexposed side. I really had to search to find the ball. Maybe a touch heavy on the NN on this one as well.

This is a good tight shot not sure if its cropped or not, but you need to level your horizons. They are tough to do and remember. But you will get the hang of it. Its also a good shot for peak action, or close to it.

No real action, I cant tell if I'm waiting for the ball to get to her, or if the ball is one she just hit. I'd also crop some off the right side.

Timing is important, we are in between peak actions, one being the shot, the other being the save or goal. Work on timing and again try to get low to shoot. I still use a monopod, but its retracted as far as it will go, make sure when you can rotate to portrait and go tighter rather then crop a horizontal to go vertical.(nothing to do with this shot rather a random tip. :P)

This crop is much better the problem is you shot and cropped pretty heavy from the original and you had another 125mm on your lens to go. Work on shooting tight to begin with, that will help with seperating your background and subject with bokeh. With the 100-400 its easy to do.
