Great sharpness and nice interpretation of the challenge. I wish we weren't looking at the tail end of the goose, or at least had some view of it's face. Still, can't argue with how crisp the subject is and how that's only further enhanced by the DOF.

Beautiful macro ... the composition really compliments the shallow DOF nicely.

Comment:
Excellent application of shallow DOF ... perfectly executed. Some might right this one off as a cliche stock photo method of displaying shallow DOF, however I think it really highlights the technical attributes of using DOF to bring focus (no pun intended) to a specific element within the composition. Well done.

Good execution of Shallow DOF ... unfortunately there are too many things in the same focal plane, IMO. My eye can't focus in on any one element, wandering between the time piece on the right and the adjacent movement. I think the image would be more pleasing if one of either/or were the primary subject. Can't fault the DOF though; nicely treated as well.

The background is so blurred here it's actually difficult to assess the DOF -- i.e., other than the foreground leaf on the upper right there's no sense of DOF at all really ... the background just looks like an orange backdrop.
