actually, this is V.S. :)
Came up with this idea of shooting a crystal glass filled with cognac for the table top challenge, but after I shot it in this way, I re-read the description and realized that it doesn't fit, as it is not shot *from* the table top. Shooting it from a table top wuld not make for a good composition, so I discarded that option. And since I didn't want to go through another week of DNMC comments, I am submitting it to the shallow DOF challenge. So here it is... hopefully it is a shallow enough shot :)
Lit with a strobe frm the left and additionally highlighted with a flashlight. Shot with a macro lens, so the depth of field was TOO small until i closed it all the way down to f/13 (I wanted to have all the front of the glass in sharp focus, and the stem OOF). Postprocessing was very minimal (basic challenge, duh): converted from RAW, rotated slightly, cropped, adjusted levels, slightly corrected hue and sat, neat image, sharpen, cloned out dust specks (the order may have been different) |

| Nice photo, but for this challange I gave higher score to photos with both the foreground and the background out of focus. |
