Very beautiful! I love the dark silhouettes of the cowboys on horseback. Captures the mood of being on the trail to ride home as the sun sets. The cowboys are coming home after a long day spend on the range is the feel I get from this. I do have one suggestion that this image might have a stronger impact if you just cropped the image to show just the one cowboy on the right. Two reasons: this would play into the imagery of the lone cowboy out on the range AND the second cowboy's horse is not as visible as the one on the right ( with the darkened scene it appears that the horse has not head - in other words we deduce that he is sitting on a horse because we clearly see the one on the right but it is not as clearly defined as that one. Nonetheless nice capture!

I like the candid capture here of the musician in action playing the saxophone. The colors are very good too - the predominent reds and the black hues really pop off the page. My only critique is that you could have easily cropped this more so the sole focus is the musician playing the saxaphone - the person on the right hand side is a distraction and adds nothing to the overall image.

Visually captivating because your eye is immediately attracted to the vibrant hues of oranges seen illuminating this "tunnel". As your eye follows the path and journeys forward into this light tunnel we see a plume of flame like an upside down funnel cloud. There are people gathered around either working and/or observing the plume of light and heat. Interesting - I won't know what exactly I am looking at until after the results are in and I can read the description. Nonetheless it is visually captivating as I said earlier. Nicely done.

Very effective presentation and composition. I like how the composition is closely cropped to show the viewer a vertical presentation of the scene. In this way the shape mimics the tall column and the plume of "smoke" that is rising in the air. Also, I don't know if this was planned for the shot or a lucky stroke, but those copper hued plants in the forground also have a vertical presentation in there natural shape. The colors of those plants adds a burst of bright and vibrant color to a scene that otherwise would make us think "cold". We see the image and with the whiteness of the snow and sky we are instantly made to feel the cold but that burst of color from the plants adds a bit of unexpected warmth to the scene. Nicely captured.

Love how the reflections in the water mimic that of multiple towers when there exists one that main stackin the center of the shot that is blowing great plumes of smoke. Visually appealing to look upon. Night always turns what is by day a dirty dingy looking factory into something quite magical by night. Colors are wonderful too.

Oh I love this image!!! Love how the main pipe draws the eye up like a path to follow up to the hopper and then to the full moon (please tell me that that is the moon and not a filter used to dim the sun). Upon gazing upon this photo I instantly thought of the phrase "shoot me to the moon!" And indeed this pipe shoots/leads the eye straight up to the moon rising over the hoppers. Great shot. Great compositon. And the hues are fabulous too!

I love the B&W of this shot for it calls attention to the subjects in this composition. The sky is simple and flat which is very good because it does not add any texture that would distract from the main focus. Love how you have captured the men working on this crane. The B&W gives the photo a feeling of nostaliga - like of days gone by. Surprised that you did not have a title for this one. I have looked at this twice and it really captures the spirit of early industry. BTW, the second time I gazed upon this image I got a flash of imagery of this image being akin to that famous photo of the Flag Raising At Iwo Jima....only this men are raising the crane.

Love the scenery in this shot. The silhouettes of all the figures (the boats, the shipyard in the background, the Statue of Liberty) gives this photo a timeless quality - you cannot quite identify when the shot was taken 20's, 30's, 40's ---The senna coloring gives it an "aged look" which also plays into a feel of nostalgia. Although I wonder if B&W would have been better to give it a feel of watching one of those old B&W classic movies.

I really like this photo just for the beautiful simplicity captured in this. A single tree does stand all alone. But what adds visual interest is the divide of colors. The tree rests on the "side that is greener". It seems to look out upon the barren land beyond the green line that comprises of nothing more than the golden hues of a "wheatfield" (or perhaps it is just weeds) Either way it captures the imagery of a fertile land juxtapositioned next to a barren land. My only critique is that the colors of the landscape could be richer in hue - mayhap if this was taken in the late afternoon it would make the hues richer and bolder.

Beautiful Lighthouse scenery. Love how that white tower contrast against the deep blue of the ocean and the light blue of the sky above.
