You most definitely got ripped off on this ranking.
Would love to own a print of this.

Hey Maceo, You were robbed. Should have been much higher. Nice cowboys. Van

Nice, and under-rated. The second cowboy adds to the wide-sky effect.

Maybe it's because I'm a Texan but this shot really stood out to me. I thought it would place higher.

There's no way this placed where it did. I love the dark, I love the shadows. Man - you were robbed.

This is really cool. I'd almost like to see even less of the light in the sunset so that it didn't pull my eye away from the silhouettes.

this could have used a bit more post processing to really make the image zing. a little shadow/highlight filter, and little work with hue-sat. it's a great base image, but it could go a lot further.

I would have liked to have seen more silhouetting of the horses. Not much, but just enough to see their outline. The picture is very dark, and they are lost in the picture.

I really like this image. Your timing was almost perfect! I'll blame mother nature for not giving you just a touch more color in sky from departing sun. Hope this makes it near the top Good luck !!

An image that invokes the aesthetic spirit deep in us. Dramatic and fluid to hold the viewers attention. Bumping up. This is so good it gets the final bump.

Only thing I can say is that if there had been just a little more light, this would have popped even better. Well done!

An eye grabbing silhouette. The colors are great. The convergence of clouds and sunset frames the main subject perfectly with the additional horseman adding another dimension to your image. As the lighting changes by the minute with sunsets and sunrises you picked a great shot from several you must have had.
Good luck with this sunset/silhouette study. -10-

This is terrific. Looks like an ad for Texas or Arizona travel. The hint or orange amidst the grays and blues is stunning. I like the silhouettes. This has subtle impact but the wow factor nonetheless. 9

Very beautiful! I love the dark silhouettes of the cowboys on horseback. Captures the mood of being on the trail to ride home as the sun sets. The cowboys are coming home after a long day spend on the range is the feel I get from this. I do have one suggestion that this image might have a stronger impact if you just cropped the image to show just the one cowboy on the right. Two reasons: this would play into the imagery of the lone cowboy out on the range AND the second cowboy's horse is not as visible as the one on the right ( with the darkened scene it appears that the horse has not head - in other words we deduce that he is sitting on a horse because we clearly see the one on the right but it is not as clearly defined as that one. Nonetheless nice capture!
