Love the light streaming in from the large patio windows that illuminate the indoor pool and the swim team that is getting ready for practice. Lovely light and wonderful details! |

Please, Wait to be Seated.by LydiaComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Love the warm sepia tones in this picture! Those rich sepia tones alongside the angle of seeing the patrons coming into the restaurant creates a mood that is warm and inviting. Great balance of main elements here. There are three seats on the right that line the front countertop. They act as a leading lines guiding our eye to the front door where three wait to be seated. |

REYby BrinComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Wonderful framing of the bow of this boat -the low angle gives the impression that it is sailing across the water moving past me! And what a great find on the name of the boat too! Rey is the name of the boat but there is another ray or rather rays here. The sun's rays burst forth in a star pattern as it peeks out from the bow of the ship. Wonderful lighting, framing of main subject and wordplay here! |

Beautiful colors of blues and golds in this capture. The silhouette of the girl fishing contrasts beautifully off of the serene waters! Love the glow around this young girl as she stands waiting to get a bite on the hook! Another plus is the ripples upon the surface of the water that adds to the visual interest. One small suggestion that could strengthen the composition even more is to crop out the reflection of trees on the water's surface at the top of the frame as that it does not add to the composition overall. By keeping it minimal the main subjects will fill the frame: the eye will see the girl on the left then follow the leading line of the rod to the top and down the line to the fishing bobber in the water. |

I couldn't help but see this as a recreation of escaping the Hatch from Lost!:-) Regardless it is clever and very well done! Love the pose of the Woody as he makes his climb out of the shaft. His wooden hand peers up at the light, looking to see how much further he must go. I especially love how you have the 'inner seam' (for lack of a better description) coming out of the left bottom corner and stretching out to the horizon line above - it acts as a wonderful leading line. Superb job! |

Follow The Sunby karenkComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Beautiful scenery captured here! Love how the scene is framed by the station's cabin open doorway! The sun bursts through the opening in the cabin sending rays of sunshine out in a beautiful starburst pattern. The light softly illuminates what is inside the cabin. A dog strolls forward seemingly following the warmth and the light. Love how the light softly illuminates the shape of dog in a soft glow. |

Catch me if you canby NeatComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Great silhouettes of these two children running and playing. The smaller child looks like they are really mustering all their speed in order to catch/tag the other one. Great action shot! I do think that there is a bit too much negative space with the clouds. Your main subject is the two children playing a game of catch-up so the attention should be keeping them in the spotlight. My suggestion is crop the top 1/3 off and to give it a widescreen movie still look that way it brings more attention to the main subjects. The widescreen view also would keep plenty of the wide open space so that we can clearly imagine these two children could 'keep on running' across the frame. |

Come Play With Us!by vawendyComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Love the moment caught here at this aquarium! Watching the fish, the manta, and the shark swim by the little girl raises her plush dolphin and imagines that she is there swimming with them. Another child stands just off to the right watching the whole scene play out. I really love this moment capturing the magic of childhood and imagination. There is one small suggestion I have that could strengthen the imagery - crop the bottom 10% as it is just empty negative space that does nothing to contribute to the imagery. It would keep the focus on your main subject which is the girl imagining herself to be the plush dolphin swimming with the rest of the fish. |

The handby GeorgesBogaertComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
The sun and it's light bursts between these two boys. Rays of the sun spread out and the boy's shadows fall upon the sidewalk along. The shadows - it is the shadows that hook and capture my attention! The one boy stretches his one hand between the two of them creating a reaching shadow hand on the ground. Love how that shadow hand is perfectly framed between the two boys shadows that stretch out to the opposite bottom corners of the photo. Excellent work with composing all the main subject to create an compelling and intriguing image! I could very easily see this as a cover of a book. |

Fantastic silhouette of the egret perched on the curved tree limb that rises out of the water. The crane, tree limb, and their reflections with the contrast off of the blue-white waters. The circular ripples that dance across the surface of the water adds visual interest. Beautiful minimalist nature shot!! |
