Thanks for the suggestion to remove the trees completely, Chrystyne . . . I struggled with where to crop but never thought to take them out completely. Have done so now and am very happy with the result. Not sure I could have done all that I did in Standard . . . but all I needed was the idea :) ' . substr('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/135000-139999/138630/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1220832.jpg', strrpos('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/135000-139999/138630/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1220832.jpg', '/') + 1) . Beautiful colors of blues and golds in this capture. The silhouette of the girl fishing contrasts beautifully off of the serene waters! Love the glow around this young girl as she stands waiting to get a bite on the hook! Another plus is the ripples upon the surface of the water that adds to the visual interest. One small suggestion that could strengthen the composition even more is to crop out the reflection of trees on the water's surface at the top of the frame as that it does not add to the composition overall. By keeping it minimal the main subjects will fill the frame: the eye will see the girl on the left then follow the leading line of the rod to the top and down the line to the fishing bobber in the water.
