Our Central Parkby willemComment: I love the IR look. It adds a very surrealistic feel to the shot. Think I would have preferred to see the bridge more off center though. I gave this one of my highest votes of the challenge. |

Downtown Tampa by tyt2000Comment: Love this shot. Very pleasing composition, good exposure, nice reflections. Just one minor thing I see that could improve the shot is a slight rotation CCW - sorry for being picky. Gave this one of my highest votes. |

Pittsburgh by alanfreedComment: Classic shot. Great DOF and nicely saturated colours. Pleasing composition. If only the sky had been more clear on that side of the stadium that particular day. I can see a shot like this in a travel guide for Pittsburg. One of my highest votes BTW. |

Oceanside California by thelselComment: Great compostion. It has an almost surreal look to it. The blue is a little over saturated IMHO - but that's a matter of personal taste. This was one of my highest votes. |

Stockholm Sunsetby DonatienComment: Very nice and crisp. Great DOF. Sometimes I like trees as borders but I think in this case I would have left it out/recomposed. The rest of the scene is so pleasing that the trees distract IMHO. |

I'm with beagleboy. However, to assume your picture ruined either of our days is just as pompous as you alluding in your second sentence that you are forever helping DPC'ers to come up to your self proclaimed level of photography [you chalk his statement up to inexperience on DPC, come on, you were holding back from really saying "no one here, would be where they are without me"]. |
You are right... I couldn't hide it.. I tried :) You will be as good as I am one day if you keep trying... maybe... well, probably not... |
Hey Johnny, just one question. Can I buy you for what you are worth and sell you for what you think you are worth? |

Reward for Bushwhacking (hiking off trail)by scrum8Comment: Finally, something caught that was not staged. Good capture. If you're like me you are limited by you're lens; if you don't have a telephoto lens (ex. 75-300mm) there's not alot you can do to make your DOF shallower. Would have been a better capture with just the deer's head in sharp focus, that way the trees and other elements wouldn't have been so distracting. Also I find that it has a slight purple colour cast; you can remove this in Photoshop in levels using the gray eyedropper by sampling something gray in the image; with an image like this it is mostly trial and error because you don't have something "controlled" like an 18% gray card to sample. |
