caughtby persimonComment: The patchy background should be darker and plain to help the fine threads stand out. And such an open aperture has made the DOF too narrow, making the branch kind of incidental to the shot. |

Bank branch...by WaitsComment: Although the buildings are clearly commercial in some way or another, without the title there's no indication in the photo to define them specifically as banks. It seems more like a shot of the lamppost I'm afraid. |

Dead branchesby TedvandenBerghComment: Good idea and good use of the bird to draw the viewers eyes. The focus seems off though, and maybe backing off a bit and letting the bird become slightly less dominant would suit this particul;ar challenge better |

Cardinal's Perchby BalkoComment: Would be better with viewpoint from further out allowing the bird to become merely an interesting decoration on the branch rather than filling the shot. Focus is off as well, might be because your camera doesn't have the telescopic capabilities you hoped depending how far away the bird was. |

Out on a limbby Ampao64Comment: Good use of line, effective focal point in the bird, although there may be a little too much space to the left. |

Lizardby nati_in_hereComment: Could have backed off a bit and made the shot less about the lizard and more about the branch which happens to have a camoflaged lizard on it. |

Dragonflightby Pug-HComment: Simple and very effective use of strong contrast and a delicate line in the twig, and good use of the dragonflys/mayflies (whatever they are) to add scale, and create a more narrative image which can lead the eyes. The motion of the top fly nicely complements the static one. |

Natures Branchesby pedahel7Comment: A crop to include just the head and antlers would be better. The focus could be sharper too. |
