The branch seems like an accident or mistake rather than the subject which is architectural in this case. Misses the brief badly I'm afraid. And either a much larger branch or one covered with leaves using depth of field to blur the building is what you need to match the title with the shot.

A tight crop on either side would remove the distraction of the brightly lit trunk, and some of the distraction in the background. Nice texture and detail.

Reflections In Dark Water

The reflections are clear enough with the still water and well enough lit to be strong on their own. Cropping a lot of the top would have benn more powerful.

View through Branches

Had you picked some of the leaves off and left some in such a way as to mirror the well caught pattern created by the boats this would have been more effective. The focus on the boats also makes the branch seem like a mistake and it got in the way. They would still have been obvious as boats with their shape if you focused on the leaves and not them.

Thirsty Branches

Very witty, I like it. The composition would have been better balanced into thirds by cropping about 1/2 the cloud from the top. It's taking too much attention from the braches imo.
