I like that you took more then just a branch, I think it was extremely hard to enter a challenge with so many entires. I do like the fact you tired to stay away from just a tree branch and incorporate other ideas.

Very interesting tree. I think the black and white was a great choice. I think the tree is just a little to bright for the surroundings. The lighting on the backdrop is interesting and makes me wonder if it was cloudy at the time.

I would be interested to see the subject placed a little differently. Sometimes I play wit the positioning just to see. I think the eye is almost drawn to things that are off center. Also I would have been interested to see the noose up a little higher and over a little more to the left, like something could have been hung. Also I am personally glad you did not put anything in the noose.

Wow nice job. You chose a great model for this shot. The contrast in the image is pretty good. There is a nice strong contrast between the subject and background. The coloring of the background does allow you to focus on the subject. The lighting and feel of the image are nice and soft, nothing harsh with a beautiful subject.

The contrast of the subject is also very nice. The eyes, cheeks and teeth really do glow. The scarf draws more attention to her and allows the viewer to focus on her attributes. I think this shot would have done amazingly well in the Color Portrait contest. I also like the placement of the subject. I would be interested to see the picture brought in just a bit, not enough to make her consume half the photo but just a little.

One other thing I really liked in the photo was that you did not try to contrast the jewelry and bring it out, like some people may have but you let the focus remain on her. Personally I scored this photo high, I think people (based on the forums I read) where looking for a highly dramatic contrast.
