The color banding in the sky looks a little odd to me - maybe it's part of the "fallout" your trying to get across to the viewer.

No offense, but it looks like a Yoda silhoutte. Looks scary rather than the beginning of the end of something - at least to me. I do like the gradient background and lighting though.

Your photo is simple, but there's just something about it I really like. Theonly little thing I'd be curious to see is maybe another 1/2" cropped off from the top.

Hooray! finally an image that for me, fits the challenge and hasn't been "shoe-horned" with a title. I like the simplicity of your image and the dark negative space nicely balances the left hand side. Good luck in the challenge.
