STARRY NIGHT by PhilosComment: I did not vote this challenge, but I did glance through the thumbnails and this one immediately caught my eye as a ribbon. Congrats! An excellent picture. |

Combinations for a Deadly Cocktailby eschelarComment: Of your alternate versions, the orange works best because it has the most containment of the saturation. In other words, the saturation is left to the liquid rather than to the keys, bottle, and background. (Yes, there is some, but it looks fairly natural).
I'd like that one best. |

Missing you... by MirceaComment: Bumping to a 10 because that reflection is just tripping me out. It should be upside down so either the image is flipped or the girl is upside down (or you cheated, but I won't assume that). But neither of those make sense to me. The girl upside down would be very difficult.
UPDATE: OK, I think I figured it out... :)
Ok, here's my guess (is this the longest comment ever?). The image is upside down. The girl is on the same side as the arm, but the arm is provided by another person. Dang, I don't think that's right either... |

Into the Sea of wordsby WilltorecordComment: I love the feeling captured here. Candid. Makes you want to know what's going on there. The B&W was an excellent choice as I guess the posters would have just led to a cacophany of color. 9 |

Starbucks!by smellyfish1002Comment: Of the bean pics, I think I like this the best. The lighting isn't perfect (among the beans), but the contrast in texture between the beans, cup, and bag is captured very well. 9 |

Morning Ritualby hurwichComment: this would have been a much better picture if it were bigger. You should learn how to make the pics 640 pixels at least (unless this was a cell camera or something). I'll still give you a 6, but I bet you would have done a ton better with a bigger picture. |

Portrait of an Unknown Writerby ElemmennopeComment: OK, if my entry can't win, this is my blue ribbon pick. Nice and crisp, the coloring is slightly desaturated to give a feeling. It's a perfect capture of the "coffee shop". Perfect enough that I can't tell if it's a candid or posed. 10 |
