Reminiscenceby PanoComment: A good nostalgic feeling along with rain. The grain enhances the feeling of both. 8 |

Bad-2-The-Boneby anthonyczajaComment: I get a kick out of this one. The expression is enhanced by the grain. The nametag is too bad, but I'm guessing you couldn't go up and rip it off him. 8 |

Ahhh, The First Kissby olddjComment: Technically this is well done. I think that's important as this was a technical challenge and the subject, to me, isn't quite as importnat. You weren't scared to have some blacks in and didn't lighten them grays (like many did). Highlights are maintained well and the background (which I'm assuming is sky) is nice and uniform. Could your position have been just slightly changed so as to make the face on the right a little more "facelike" and a little less abstract. We know what it is, but the difference in recognizability between the face on the right and the one on the left drives the intimate figures apart instead of together. I didn't vote this challenge, but I'd give it a 7. |

Ominous Cloudsby alanfreedComment: 86th!!! You got robbed. Of course I'm a former Pittsburgher, but I didn't notice it was Pitt on the field. |

Solitudeby L1Comment: What, were you following this guy around? It looks like he's panickingly dialing 9-1-1. :) |

Evening Runby L1Comment: I have always liked that hue of blue water can have when it reflects a sunset sky. This is great composition with the picture being divided into thirds with something interesting in each section. The runner actually adds so much as a "foreground" subject (if you could really call such a small object "foreground"). If you were to do any alteration, I'd clone out those telephone poles on the skyline. They look like giant, ugly cell sites. |

The Dressby idnicComment: I like this shot. With the flower girl it's a nice candid. If you were to erase her, I think it would be a very private and sensual picture. Maybe in B&W. When I stumble across your profile, this is the first pic that catches my eye. |

The-Country-Sideby jmleliiComment: This is the type of picture which just get justice done at 640px. I bet it would be sweet as a 11x14 or something of the like. As it is, there is too much detail which gets lost at this size and that makes things seem more mushy and blurred than they really are. I love the cloud shadows in the foreground, but wish you had had the luck to have the back 1/3rd of the landscape not be in shadow.
I wouldn't have voted this too high, but like I said, it's 90% because this picture groans for more than 640 px. |

Cathedral at early nightby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: A beautiful shot. Where is the grain? compared to my favorites, this hardly has any. I'm not going to give you a terrible score, but it's gonna be neutral at best. The shot really is nice though. |
