Peek-a-booby HikerDudeComment: Wow ... great DOF, what amazing color on this little creature, baby Turkey Vulture? Love the wrinkly little neck.
Edit- checked out the other fine photos and learned this is a condor. Message edited by author 2006-05-22 18:17:01. |

Grand Canyon Colorsby HikerDudeComment: Glad you haven't disappeared. Looks like you left Happy Valley for a jaunt down South, with very good results I might add. Extremely beautiful colors, you captured many background layers of earth in this image, which I understand is hard to do in the haze often covering big scenery like this. |

A Beacon to the Worldby rjksteschComment: 7 Seven Sieben Siete Sette ... Did I mention you have a 7 ... woohoo!!
I enjoyed your "long story" thread regarding the recovery of this picture. It's kind of a miracle picture that has proved to be extraordinary. 6th Place is quite the accomplishment. Hope to see you soon. |

deadhrse_9948m1.jpgby f-32Comment: I have several old shots of DHP that are very blue, I like the different result with the pink very much, the sky and that last level of sunlight are wonderful. |

My Favorite Placeby steinarComment: Revitalizing ... different. The sum of the parts; the sun, the water, the reflection all complete this pure environment and human form. The darker sky at the top and the dark water at the bottom make a natural border. |

The portraitistby pmottaComment: I like the concentrated look of the artist. Nice capture in a public environment, too bad you couldn't clone out the dude behind him. |

Mid Air-Climber in His Elementby Sunshine86Comment: Nice choice of light sepia tones, you can see the detail in the rock but it does not take away attention from the climber. I'd like to know where this is. |
