Last Lightby IvoComment: I love the muted colors of the landscape with the last hint of saturating in the sky. Excellent dynamic between the soft water and the sharp rocks and trees. Exposure looks spot on - just a great shot overall. 10 |

Big Bay fireworks by william88Comment: One of the best fireworks shots I've seen in a very long time. Excellent balance with the city/water. Just lovely overall, a sure 10. |

Wheat on the Palouseby jclintonComment: I love the simplicity of this shot, the contrasting colors. Excellent use of texture, color, and form. 10 |

Horse Shoe Crab Beachby neophyteComment: Both the crab and the building are dead center in the frame, and you cut off the crab's tail. A more dynamic composition would have earned you more points. |

Basking in All Her Gloryby trevytrevComment: I love IR photography and this shot has some especially strong elements; the glory of the central tree, the excellent shadow beneath it, the dramatic sky. However, my one complaint is that the central tree really blends into the background trees in several places. Tricky to avoid I'm sure, and still a great shot. 8 |

montanaby flyboyComment: A good example of a bleak landscape, very monochromatic, which I like - seems an accurate depiction. However, it is unfortunate that it is so small and that the crop over-extended on the bottom & right, giving you that white area; these two elements really detract from the overall. |

Flight Pathby sfaliceComment: Interesting capture of the landing - looks like it's headed for disaster, but I trust that the runway is really there! A suggestion: when shooting propeller planes, fast shutter speeds freeze the prop (such as happened here), which leaves it looking odd. A slower shutter speed and a bit of panning adds a sense of motion to the background and keeps the prop arc, which can be pretty cool. |

Paintedby VenomComment: Lovely capture of the paint. However, the burning around the perimeter is a bit excessive. |

On the Other Side of the Tracksby BrianRComment: Nice tonal range, interesting lighting. The blue of the water looks a little too blue to my eye, but my main complaint is the bridge: A) it bisects the scene too close to dead center, and B) it covers the shoreline in the background, which would be a nice area to see, the shore meeting the water and all. |
