barkby johnny_justjohnnyComment: It's a subtle shot, and a very well done one at that. We don't get enough good subtle shots around here (and they don't usually score very well). Good work. |

"Electric Rose"by ladpupmoeComment: To be honest, the rose doesn't strike me as particularly interesting in this shot, but the background and shadows do capture my attention. So it seems like you did a goo job with the mood of the shot, it's just that your subject was a bit of a dud in my eyes. |

Taking In Grandby xhossComment: It'd have been nice if you could have been centered in the room and made this shot symmetrical. Even so, it's a nice shot. I like the effect of most people moving but just a few standing still and coming in clearly. |

Diffusionby soupComment: Very cool idea, and it comes across as a neat abstract. Nice work. |

New Paintby Russell2566Comment: The right and left sides seem wasted on this shot. Perhaps cropping them out or else moving your subject to one side or the other would make it more interesting. |

Blue spiralby darixComment: it's a little dark.. or perhaps it's just low contrast or muted colors.. a bit more vibrant version of this would be more impressive. |

Frozenby timmiComment: Well, I like the color bleeding that the soft focus produces here, but I with all the fine detail available here I find myself squinting in hopes of all the little bubbles in the ice coming into focus. I guess I'm just torn. |

Don't Drink and Driveby PaulMdxComment: well, I'm guessing the blurryness is supposed to simulate drunken vision, since otherwise this is way too soft/out of focus. The clean backdrop and subject placement work well enough, although I think I'd try pushing the subject a little more to the corner and going a little wider in order to work with the negative space a little more. This might work for an ad or something, but as a stand alone shot is doesn't really hold my attention much. Not a bad try though. |

A Christmas Surpriseby StevePaxComment: This needs better lighting. Also, it doesn't seem to be soft focus, moreso it seems to just be out of focus. Work on your setup and technical photography skills with this and it'll come out much better. (and probably get it down with a sharp focus before you mess with soft focus on it) |

After the Feastby kirbicComment: the finger sneaking in on the right side and the cutting off of just the top of her hair on top are elements that might be able to be improved. |
