A New Nightby mistchild2008Comment: Wow...this is really dark and you were fighting some serious contrast. It looks like you went with your camera's default metering - sometimes, with difficult shots like this, it's a good idea to bracket your shots. If you don't know what bracketing is, it's shooting (generally) 3 shots, one at what you think the exposure should be and one over and one under exposed from that. You get a much better chance of getting a usably exposed shot that way. |

Let's take a rideby RodertComment: the contrast of this shot is really nice but there's a lot of clutter in the forground (the train is awesome though) that distract the eye. Overall though, a really nice shot. |

Butterfly Braceletby phatphotoComment: This would actually be a pretty mediocre photo were it not for the hand to give it scale. As you've shot it, there is a sense of delicacy which makes the image much more interesting. Well done! |

Ushering In A New Dayby DrakeComment: This is tough. This is a spectacular photo...easily an 8 or 9 but I'm having a hard time getting a "unique" point of view from it. |

Up, up and awayby KHoltComment: Nice shot. Using the "blueing" of the haze adds depth a nice sense of distance/depth to your shot really makes for some great impact. |

cliff-hangerby quarxComment: There's no context here and, as an abstract, there's too much detail for my eye (made all the more so by using b&w). By context I mean that the viewer can't place the image in any context their familiar with. |

Looking Trough a Dropby SanjuroComment: This is a cool shot but it's far from original and, especially lately, is getting overdone in challenges. |
