for me this is all about texture and repeating strip patterns since the horizon line cuts the center balancing the composition with strips. B&W treatment really works as now it's all about the ground up. didn't vote in this contest but would have scored it high.

beautiful layers of clouds and hills and textures - i don't really get a strong sense of 'from the ground up, however' - still a 6

I like the b&w effect. However, it is nice if the tractor has some room to move in the photo, here it looks like is running out of the frame. Also it would be more interesting if the horizon was dead center in the shot, try moving it up or down, given the nature of the challenge, I would say move it down so we get more sky, giving us more of a feeling of the ground looking up.
