Really needs some noise reduction. As it's a still subject, you should have used more light and a slower ISO to get a smoother image and really emphasise the smooth reflective surface. The reflected background, and dust aren't helping either.

This looks like many images from my digicam - white balance looks off, and a very grainy noisy image. Interesting subject, but maybe think about a more interesting framing/crop.

Even as a woodworker, this photo doesn't say anything to me. I can't put my finger on what's missing. Photographically, it could do with more interesting lighting (more focused light), or even just a bit more contrast.

Was this shot taken upside down? There's something disturbing about the shading. Also a bit of blurring on the dial and bit more contrast might improve the shot.
