Thanks a lot for your comments on this shot. I think, that I don't have to tell you more about the setup, there is nothing special about it. But I'll try to answer on some of your comments:

- Why not horizontal?
I tried that too, but it didn't look very impressive to me...

- Why I didn't centered the toothbrushes with the lips?
You my be sure, that I tried that. But it is not very easy in the macro modus. The model has to stay absolutely motionless and a divergency of 2mm (it's not much more in this shot) is nerly unobservable due to the shooting 'stress'. I made about 20 shots with different expressions of the lips and finally I liked this one most. But unfortunately there are these 2mm distance from ' perfection' ;-)

- Why 2 toothbrushes and why is the toothpaste running together?
Well, I can't remember where I saw that before. Maybe it was a german advertising spot. She is waiting for him in the bathroom and has prepared already everything for the united teeth brushing. I thought, that I can transform this story with the kiss in the background into a macro shot. Doesn't everyone want to start into a day with a view like that :-)?

Nice idea and well executed. The coloures are working great together and the focus is perfect! I made a similar shot for this challenge, but decided finally to submit an other one. It would have been the 3rd zipper shot ;-). Voted 9 - nds

This shot is unique and interesting. I like it and voted 7. Definitly not the last place!

@ marbo: Who are you, that you leave such bitchy comments? Very poor...
By the way: Your lightsource submission (your sole submission up to date) was IMHO!! a 7 too - same score like this 'Alien Abduction' shot. Constructive criticism is helpful an welcome. But not in this manner. Do you undestand what I mean?

No problem, the setup was relatively simple. Unfortunately I haven't made an extra shot of the whole setup. But I think you'll get it, when you turn the photo 180 degrees in your mind. The sheets are lying scattered on the floor and the calendar is standing upside down on them. So the reason for the little page lifting was after my helping hand only the gravity. More information about the shadow of the '12' and the lighting you'll find in the photo details. O.K.?

Oops,

please excuse my mistake in 'shadow'. As I wrote alredy in my user details I use the dpc to learn more about photography and to improve my english. So I welcome your constructive criticism on both! But now the whole world is able to see my asininity on the main page of dpc this week. Sometimes a 3rd place can be embarrassing too :-)

Thanks to all the users, who took the time to make a comment and special thanks to po_the_great. Your german is better than my english ;-)

Please have a look on the photo details above for some more informations about this shot. If there are more questions, please feel free to ask me!
@ mac: No no, not deliberately...
@ bmac: No, its not a collage. Only a calendar and some pulled sheets...
@ TrexX: Is it not 'instead' instead of ' in stead' :-) :-) :-)?
@ KAOS, PTLParsons: The shadow is the number 12. Thats why I titled 'Shadow of a lucky day'. Is the number of the shadow really so hard to realise?

Thanks again, your really made my day!

Highly spectacular and my favourite so far. But I can't believe, that there will be a more impressive illusion under the submissions I've not voted on so far. Brilliant idea and well done shot too! - nds
