The straight down angle for the boots isn't the greatest. I would have tried a much lower angle, and made use of shallow DOF also. This one is just too plain. |

The string hanging from the right shoe is very distracting. I like the effect of the blown out background, but would like to see a little more detail in the shadows of the shoes. |

Sorry. On a challenge for shoes, I think the shoes should be the main focus, or at least close to it. The first step appears as if it is in focus, but the shallow DOF hurts the image quite a bit. |

The backlighting is too too bright and so the shoes lose detail and clarity. I really like the composition and the subject. |

There is a lot of noise and jpeg artifacts in this photo. I think the idea was not a great one. DOF is wrong. Either more or less would be better. Lighting is very flat. |
