There is too much of a stretch on this one. Aside from that, the brush in the foreground is very distracting, there is a dust spot very visible in the water. I'm sure at some point the hippo turned over. I would have recommended to take it again after that happened. And then work with both the levels and contrast in pp as well.

Where is the action? The contrast is very weak in this shot, and you can see many JPEG artifacts as well.

Generally speaking, it is a bad idea to photograph a child from behind because they are not done right. With that being said, this shot is one of those exceptions. Great capture here with the child and her dog. Both appear to be longing to get in to the water and have some fun. Very nice work.

This is a very adorable expression that this little girl has. The composition is excellent. In thumbnail view, this shot looks perfect. In the larger view, you can tell that there is some serious problem with the focus. My guess is you have some camera shake in this shot. 1/25 for exposure with a 70-300 lens, probably hand held with natural lighting. Not that I would recommend using the on-camera flash, as I think that generally ruins photos, but maybe using a higher ISO setting to help out with the shutter speed.

This is another very intersting composition. I like the setup of the shot. It kind of borders minimalism IMO. Again though, the photo looks a little dark overall. The person's suit almost lacks complete detail, and the stones seem a bit too dark.

I really like the perspective of this shot. The colors are a little mute for my taste. The sun in the window looks good but I don't like the sun spots shown from passing through the lens.

This has the potential of a good shot, but the blurry subject in front of the person is really annoying. Other than that, the limtied DOF really makes you focus on the guy in the yellow shirt.
