I find the image size rather small to be able to get a good view of the picture. Try a bit bigger next time if you can. As for the photo: it lacks contrast somewhat and I would crop out the left white blotch. Another tip: Next time when seeing a subject like this you could try to get closer and use the wide-angle of your camera. It will give you a more interesting picture. This of course if it is technically possible with your camera and the area you are working in.

Sublime colours. Pity you didn't get the wheel in front in. Think that would have added more to the composition. 7

I like it. Nice tones. Perhaps you could have taken the picture from a lower angle to make the fence more prominent against the horizon. Composition is fine and tecnically well executed.

The idea is great. The picture however seems to be too overexposed and personally I'd prefer to see the subject centered in this case.

I expected this shot to end up in the top 10 actually. I still like it a lot. Keep up the good "eye".

Would YOU mess with this one?

No, I wouldn't mess with this guy. Good compostion overall. Pity the eyes are in the shadows. Fill-in flash might have worked but perhaps you had to keep your distance. Good luck. 8

Wonderful use of the wide angle. Composition is fine. Perhaps the contrast is slightly too steep. Might also be a matter of taste. Very good. 9

Very nice picture Hans. Sorry you got disqualified. Rules have to be lived up to. Although it must be frustrating on your side (and mine) to see how the rules during this callenge are also easily bent, even discarded and people apparently get away with it. I think you had a really nice shot here and it would have ended up high.

Outstanding photo, not sure if fully falls in the category "silhouette" but it is silhouetted against the background enough for me. Nice how the sun strikes on the back of the duck. Overall compostion great. Good luck. 9
