Exposedby PhocalComment: I liked this shot during the voting. Gave it a 7. The post processing is well done as well. |

Weevilby spiritualspatulaComment: Great shot. Looks like the bug is walking on the edge of a saw blade. The bug against the black background sets it's unusual color off very well. |

IMG_5975by MikeOComment: Good shot. You don't realize flies can be so colorful until you see them close up. Good detail. |

Ready to dance!by MaggyeComment: Wow, nice shot. Excellent clarity and detail as well. The overcast sky was probably good thing working like a big soft box to give those nice even colors. |

Getting All Mushyby MelonMusketeerComment: Super shot. Twins too. Good PP to bring out the light and texture on the mushrooms. I have a bunch of these growing in the mulch in my garden. I may have to try shooting a couple. |

Yes I did lighten up the center in PP using layers. Also juiced up the contrast just a little. Otherwise usual stuff, NI, USM. levels etc. The high ISO is great for the low light situations and when you want a faster shutter speed as was the situation here.. Noise is not to bad either. |

No. That's it for the bloom. Not sure what kind of hydrangea it is but it does bloom all season like that. Sometime there are more blooms and sometimes only a couple. |

jalenpeno flowerby JustCareeComment: I am growing some jalapeños as well and yes those are very tiny flowers. You may want to try a tripod next time or some sort of stabilizing device. Just a little blurry. |
