Used an 22mm extension tube as well. Hand held so not as sharp as I would like. The wind was blowing pretty good too from a storm that past through.

Love the composition and antique feel.

Cool; like the composition. Totally understand the frustration of trying to shhot macros with extension tubes outside; even a little breeze throws everything off!

Yes I did lighten up the center in PP using layers. Also juiced up the contrast just a little. Otherwise usual stuff, NI, USM. levels etc. The high ISO is great for the low light situations and when you want a faster shutter speed as was the situation here.. Noise is not to bad either.

No. That's it for the bloom. Not sure what kind of hydrangea it is but it does bloom all season like that. Sometime there are more blooms and sometimes only a couple.

Nice composition - I too love the flowers in your shot. The dark b/g really helps them stand out.

Yes it's Hydrangea season!! Do you think that maybe the flowers would make a good central point of interest (a single flower)? Or maybe a really really tight shot of the buds might be better?
