Thinking Too Muchby Art RoflmaoComment: This was before my time, so it's my first time seeing it. What a wonderful image! It should be a poster for our times! We've all been granted the wonderful faculty of thought and reasoning, but how many people actually use it 100%? In fact in most people it has atrophied...what a wonderful symbolic representation of this. |

Red Doorby GermaineComment: Another of yours that I'm drawn to: Lovely angles, that lovely contrasting arch, wonderful textures and colour - I know exactly what drew you here. |

Mission Windowby GermaineComment: I'm strangely drawn to this. I love the soft focus. I love the geometric shapes competing with eachother - the arches, the square, the triangle on the right. The pipe going up the building and the line going across the building form a bizarre cross which matches the purpose of the building. |

Shop Frontsby amberComment: Adi - What attracted me to this in the first place was the fact that these shop fronts are fast disappearing in a world where everywhere is beginning to look like everywhere else - the Starbucking of the planet as I call it, these old fashioned family run places will soon be gone.
What interested me was the texture of the roofs, the old chinese signs and the age of the place, that was my focus. The 'bottom' of the image holds no more interest. But I value your opinion;)
The B&W does give a feel of the past and I took the original image using B&W film and then scanned the image so I have no colour version. To answer your question RGO - no this part of town is rather tired, old and dirty which I like, with muted aged, drab colour, which has probably sealed it's fate.
