not sure what it is - but that's okay as the challenge is to use food to create an abstract image - which you have successfully done. When I look at this I think of duck soup. lol

sun-flower seeds are a food, but here you include almost nothing but the petals. I also do not see this as using food to creat and abstract image

The idea of the challenge was to use food to create an ABSTRACT image. There is nothing abstract about this. Had you used a macro or zoom lens and shot in real close it may have worked.

DNMC for abstract food. As a scenic, focus is soft - colors need a bit more saturation - image is flat and lacks a subject of interest. Try shooting landscapes in the landscape mode when going for just the scenery.

For one the image is too small. Secondly the shadows in front of the dog are too harsh. With the dog having dark fur around his/her eyes, you would do better to have the sun coming from the side - raking across his front. This would not only lighten the face, but also bring out texture of the fur better
