To me the light coming through the leaf is beautiful, but the border is quite distracting. I am assuming this is a branch, but it is hard to decipher that in this photo. In any case beautiful use of light and texture.

Nice use of depth of field. This is a nice take on "branch". I am not crazy about the slight blurring around the border.

What a great photo! This remind me of the HP commercial that were on TV, but with a twist. Great use of the drab gray and black juxtaposed with the flesh! Gutsy photo and unique, which is important. It would have been even more fun to have her against a different background, maybe outside! I like the slight tilt to the image. Awesome job. One of my top 2 in this challenge! Good luck. 10.

Stunning image. I love the desolation. It might have helped to frame the shot so that lightning and the tops of the mountains were not so close to the barbed wire. Please tell us where this was taken. The only thing that prevents me from giving a 10 is that I don't see any rain, although the lightning is gorgeous. 9

This image seems a little light. Darkening may also add a slightly somber mood. I love the subject and the contrast between the graves. Wonderful idea for this challenge. 9.

You Can't Take It With You

I like the title and I think it's a nice irony that although you can't take it with you, one guys grave can still be more ostentatious than the next guy's. Nice moody sky and I like seeing the kind of creepy black fence in front.

Something about this photo really conveys the immensity of the architecture. Probably the massive columns next the the relatively small statue. I love the strong vertical lines and I think it's a great choice for "affluence".

I really like the texture of the rock and the sea. The bright intense green is too strong for me. Maybe you could selectively desaturate it a little bit.
