I like the choice of background. This would have worked better for me if the inside of the apple were slightly whiter & unblemished.

The apple seems so prosaic given the setting. I would have preferred not to have seen whatever the apple is resting on, and perhaps a more dramatic apple (a bright red, or dark red perhaps.)

I think you did this on purpose, but I didn't like the out of focus slice. I might have preferrred it had the slice been in focus and not the apple, if you really wanted to have a tiny DOF. If you had used a bit more contrast that might have helped as well.

There wasn't much here that was interesting. Perhaps if the apple was a larger part of the picture, and a brighter red to contrast with all that grey/green background.

I like the reflection in the knife, but I found all the background elements really distracting, as well as whatever the apple is sitting on. I think that the bottom apple is a bit overexposed as well.

I think this was a neat idea, but the apple is way overexposed on the side. I"m not fond of the background - all those wrinkles are distracting. It might have worked better if there was no carpet in the shot. The wrinkly cloth might not have been so noticeable if it had extended under the apple as well.

You captured the red on the apple really well. I think the inside of the apple is, in my opinion, not very appetizing. Perhaps it was too long before you got the shot? Also, it would have worked better for me if the slicing lines were cleaner.

I"m one of the many who submitted a William Tell picture, so I like your idea but I'm guessing that you're not getting many points for originality. This one is a little too blurry for me, and I think that a simple photo editing program could have helped make the color of the apple a little more vibrant, & the color of the man's face a little less so!
