In darkness, scare with a smileby heydandyComment: Great eerieness to this. The lighting & use of negative space are terrific too. It bothers me slightly that the head is a little tilted, since the rest of the composition is so centered, but I like it nonetheless. |

One last chance to play before bedtimeby scalvertComment: Nice colors & capture, and a good idea as well. It bothers me slightly that the circle isn't completely round. I wonder if it would have seemed more balanced (assuming that it can't be made more regular) to have had the breaking point of it either at the top or bottom. Well done nonetheless. |

Let there be Lightby discgolferComment: Great capture of the moment! I would have liked to have seen this in a larger size, but well done nonetheless. |

Lost in thought...by ankit0621Comment: Nice interpretation of the challenge. I know the feeling of getting lost in thought. I think I might have preferred the angle on the book to either be straight, or more tilted, but I love the rest of the composition. Perhaps a prettier candle? Well done nonetheless. |

Dark Knights New Wheelsby redmoonComment: Wow! What the heck is this? I don't know where you found it, but it was a great choice for this challenge. I love the lights on it and the composition. Well done! |

A Storm Comethby sbeaumontComment: Beautiful to see dark clouds rolling in like that, and the tree in the foreground really makes the picture complete with it's wind-blown branches. Great job! |

"Are you ready for me?"by blancericComment: Great moment to capture the bird! I would have preferred the OOF background to be a little smoother - is this pixelation or over-sharpening? The bird's head doesn't stand out quite enough, which I think it would have were the background softer. Good try! |

Child's Darkenssby kattywacComment: I like the concept a lot; darkness is so significant when you're a child! The book is the perfect choice, and I love including the flashlight. I wish that the picture looked a little less staged: the book looks positioned by an adult for the photo. I assume that's part of a bed that I'm looking at, but I would have preferred more clues as it took me a while to figure that out. Perhaps including more of the bed frame would have helped? Good try. |
