Interlacedby KarenBComment: hi there from the critique club ...
first off i have to say .. i love shoe shots! hehe
this image is great in detail with the laces and loop holes of the boot ... with the intertwining of the laces up the boot it certainly shows symmetry ... i love the tones in the black and white and the texture that you have captured with this photo - the composition is just right... great job

Tacticsby jmsetzlerComment: hey there from the Critique Club - hehe
this image is excellent .. the clarity and detail in the clear figures is amazing .. i do like the shallow DOF and the play in with the chessboard .. the placement of everything certainly portrays symmetry and the off balance in the background sets the complete composition off nicely ... I also do like the blue tones it gives it a warmer feeling - maybe even a more artsy feel to the photograph than if the shot was done in black and white ... my only thing is that the King looks like its slightly leaning to the right ... maybe it's just an illusion or the piece itself ... either way ... great job .. Do-Re-Mi-Fa . . . sew?by KarenBComment: hi there from the Critique Club ...
This is a great indoor macro shot ... showing the needles and thread sure does show the size of the subject ... the composition is nice and the DOF shows enough to make an impact of the image. I do like the black background it sets the red foreground off quite nicely .. great detail and sharpness shown in the texture of the pin cushion and the flat heads play a cute part in the actual image of a strawberry and its seeds. great job! .. Symmetry Repeatedby LustreComment: hey there from the critique club!
this is a great image! i love the combination of symmetry that is used -first focal point would of course be from the center and each sides are the same and the composition also add a nice demension to the image .. great job! I would have to agree with inspzil that a deeper blue sky could definitly add a little more impact ... maybe play around with the saturation levels and see what happens ... regardless it's still an awesome shot! |

Floating Candleby Silver FoxComment: hey there from the critique club ...
this is a very good shot considering how you prepared it and using no flash and just using the candle for light ... the detail is captured pretty good .. i would rather a little more sharpness .. but it is still a nice photo ... as for a macro shot though i would have tried to get a little closer ... i understand that this is a small item to begin with but getting even closer would have a greater impact with the concept of the macro shot ... maybe more of an over the top angle and focusing on the flame and wick ... then again maybe this was as close as your camera would allow .. none the less it's a nice photo .. great job! |

Riverborn Reflection by inspzilComment: hey there from the Critique Club ..
from the first time i saw this photo it amazed me ... and at first i didnt think anything of the placement of the reflections ... the composition is great - my eyes are led through the photo to see all there is to see and i love the idea of flipping it over ... i'll definitly have to try that some time ... the light and tones are evenly spread out and the detail in the sihloette (SP?) of the trees is amazing ... I did not get a chance to vote this past week but this much deserves to be in the top 3 spot! great job! |

Games of Symmetryby mbardeenComment: hi there from the Critique Club
I didnt vote this past week but this image is a very nice shot of symmetry ...
the tones, angle and color capture really does show the depth of field in this photo ... personal opinion i would have liked to see this a little sharper but it's a good shot none the less
composition of this photo is also very appealing to the eye .. kinda looks like the cube is floating at first but then you see the shadow at the bottom - very nice effect
this object shows symmetry in almost a 3way view ... if only you coulda suspended some of the balls up top - haha
great job .. keep it up ... Ayme |

Enduring Pillarsby GraciousComment: this is a great shot showing leading lines .. you have the walkway going to the center and the railings bringing your eye to the center too .. the tones are great too! |
