the DOF on this photo is very interesting. The title says "boot", but I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to be looking at. I assume maybe a very used and dirty boot. Sorry for not getting it.

This spider picture doesn't seem to say "wow" to me. I know you probably didn't have much choice on positioning, but maybe a different angle would have been more suitable.

This picture really stood out for me while I was scanning the thumbnails. I love the colors. This may sound REALLY picky, but I would have liked to have seen the paint brushes with paint on them...like the painting was a work in progress.

The lack of focus really takes away from this picture. Otherwise, it would have been a very good photo. I'm assuming that you didn't have a Macro setting on your camera. A trick that I learned from this site is to use a magnifying glass in front of your lens to get close-ups to focus better. Your choice of a yellow background was well suited for the flower.

I really like the muted color in this photo. The tans in the feather blending in with the tree stump. Brings out the colors in the rest of the feather. I can't quite tell what the rest of the background is...whether it be water or a rock. So, the water drops confuse me as to where they came from. On the technical side, the picture is nicely focused and with good quality. 9

Very interesting eye color. You were able to get such good detail of the iris in your picture. Unfortunately, the lower lid is over-exposed and takes away from the shot. One afterthought, however, I'm an eye person, but I can't really see any expression in this one. It's like a hole into space.

Argg...that darn artifact around the flower caused from compression. Really distracts. Otherwise, the flower just wants to pop out at ya.
