American Flagby sabphotoComment: I can tell by the title that the flag is mean to be the subject of this photo. However, because of placement, it seems more like the background. If the soldier were standing behind the flag, I think that might be more effective. The flag also looks a little blurry, as if the focus was on the foreground. |

Rippled Sandby EvaanComment: I like the ripples of the sand, though in some ways they are almost more the focus/subject of this shot than the barnacle (?). I think that a little tiny tighter on the barnacle might not have been a bad idea, just to capture a little more of that detail. |

Full Moon and a New Pope.by docpjvComment: This is a very clear image. It's impossible to tell what kind of structure is holding up the neon lights...might be kinda nice to see the outline of a building or something. Good shot of the moon though. |

When Less is Moreby DianaBComment: Good focus on the snail. The detail is clear and I like the shadow below the snail....but it can get kind of hard to look at a pure white background. Perhaps something ivory, yellow, beige...anything....might improve the score a bit. |

Water is my homeby barkaComment: The water strider is well in focus on this shot. However, the reflections created in the difference between above and below the water are a little distracting. Perhaps from a different angle might offer something different?

Long Journey Homeby lissylouComment: There isn't much in this picture to attract the eye. The subject is dark, and so it's good that you used a light background. But I wonder if yellow or perhaps a light green might have been better. It can be hard to look at what is mostly a blank page. |
