I thought to myself, "Yeah, another flower on white" but I liked it. As noticed by a few the darker half to the right would have been better removed, as well as the long shadow from the flower. I found the shadows to be really important to this photo. Lighting this was really an experiment and proved to be fairly difficult. I shall revisit it. Given my interpretation of the rules, I didn't eliminate some of the flaws in the flower.

Honesty

Is is really honesty that we are reacting to? I think we all react when someone asks you for your money, whether you believe they need it or not, or for whatever reason. I don't believe it is honesty that prevents people from dropping some coins, it's the confrontation and the apprehension of people that are perceived a bit unpredictable. But this is just speculation on my part. Asside from that, a mutual friend showed me some of your photos here (socalmotocross a hint?). I like this photo. It has nice textures; deep blacks with the motion in the background. Even the pickup truck's shiny, expensive rim contrasts the beggar.

I don't like whatever is going on in the green area. What's happening there? It might be a neat texture. I just can't tell.
