I would have found this a little more interesting if you had selected shinier apples to atch the glaze of the bowl (those two little chips could have been darkened with Old English or something.)

On a less patterned, darker ground, having three smaller apples instead of two, in a bowl, whose handles are turned more to the diagonal - should create more movement, less flat feeling. 6

Too convoluted a theme for me. Love the copper against the red and green, but not the third apple. A variety in the level of their positions, more dramatic background, something to raise the interest. This isn't truly a bad image - it just isn't holding my attention.
