Light on Iceby ti_evomComment: There is a sign on one of our Lake Michigan Lighthouse causeways which says, "In memory of those who died falling from this place, and those who died trying to save them." I love these fabulous Wintry scenes, but wonder if placing yourself (and possibly someone else) in this perilous position was worth it. There is a reason that one only sees these taken from a greater distance.
Sorry for the lecture, but before and after reading your narrative, I was appalled by the danger in which you placed yourself.
Next time, instead of climbing the stairs as you plan, maybe you should safely use the super zoom lens you're going to spend the next year saving for! lolllllllll |

Winter Wonderland by DrakeComment: You've done what's been on my To-Shoot List for quite some time - gotten gorgeous pictures of our beautiful Lighthouses in Winter. Congratulations on a most special capture, and on the high placement in the Challenge. Message edited by author 2010-02-10 08:47:36. |

Elegance within Chaos by DennisheckmanComment: You created a wonderful mini-tute with your explanation of how you set this up. Setting up an outdoor Winter-Studio of sorts was brilliant! You deserved the "Blue" for more than just the image (which is spectacular, btw.) Congratulations. |

Not just for Cooking by ekmaiComment: I really liked this one, but the unlevel lines of the colored blocks of light were so distracting. It was hard to keep my eyes on the person and the suspended utensils. Realizing that this one would have been hard to shoot with the white chef's coat, the shinier whisk and spatula opposed to the darker cleaver and whatever is in his left hand, it still didn't get my highest marks. However, kudos on what you did capture. |
