I fear the depth of field was just a little too shallow: it looks like there is only one point in the photo that is in focus. The stick in the middle is quite an annoyance - I think the photo could be improved much by cropping off the bottom third or half.

The sepia treatment is a very good choice, and it's a super choice of locations. There's something about the rhythm of the gas pumps against the rhythm of the face of the garage that does not work for me; don't quite know why. I wonder whether the shot would be better if the left door were cropped off and the double doors were between the pumps?

The lighting behind the metronome is quite beautiful. So is the lighting of the metronome is as well. That little triangle of light in the upper right corner seems a little distracting.

I absolutely love the subject, but the composition leaves me cold. Not sure being in color adds anything. It seems like this might be a good subject for B&W or sepia treatment.

The photographer is suggesting that the fence is not there to keep errant canoes out of this section of the pond? I'm a little unsure I buy the connection with the challenge, but this s a very good looking B&W shot.
