This is a nice portrait. My first thought was that it was perfect. Then I thought perhaps it should be more centered. Then I realized I was trying too hard. This simply a very good family portrait.

My first thought when I saw this was discomfort. I passed it without voting and came back to it later. I'm still a little uncomfortable, but I don't like my discomfort. I can only say that it's cultural and not based on the quality or technique of the shot.
Ultimately I have to score this high because it is very good artistically, it evokes emotion, and it makes me think of family -intimately. Congratulations on a fine piece. - 8

The colors and the light here are wonderful. The one thing that keeps this from a top pick is the soft focus on the paint cans. They (in my "I'm not good enough a photographer yet to have" opinion) need to be sharp like the brushes.

Nice idea, even though I have lightened my monitor, this seems a little dark. I see candles but very little candelabra. Still, a nice picture.

This is a great image. The action captured here is visually intriguing and stimulating.
However, I only "get" the challenge theme from the title. It makes perfect sense and really does not nees the photograph to answer the challenge. But the picture without the title does not get it done.
Still, this is too good to score low in my opinion.
