Hey Rebeca. This is your first challange and maby something went wrong in the upload progress or when you saved the picture down for the web. I think this is an interesting picture. I like the crop and the tone of it. But it is always hard to judge picture when they are so small.

For the next challange just remember to make your image in the size 640px and it will rate much higher. People look at these small picture and automatically give them 1's without looking at if the picture is good.

Good luck in future challanges :)

Hey Matthew. This sure is a wild goose chase :) I like it how the bird in front is moving. He really is running away from the other goose. The tone of the picture is good. The brownish birds work well with the light blue water. If you could edit this picture freely there are a couple of things that could have been better.
1. Darker background. Making the background darker and the birds lighter would bring them more out in the picture.
2. Cleaning up the small stones that are laying on the ground would have made this picture cleaner.

I really good moment and fits the challange very well. Good job.

Good luck in future challanges :)

The subject isn't that bad. The idea is good but the executin isn't that great. The colors are good. Like the brownish feelding of this picture. I think you could use this background for future shots. It looks like fun to shoot. In this photo the main subject is hard to spot. Is it the shades, is it the table, is it the white light coming in, is it the mirror? My idea for this would have been to take a close up of the reflection at the end of the table. For your first challange this isn't so bad. Keep it up and don't quit.

Good luck in future challanges :)

The colors in this shot are just amazing. The white/blue cup agains the reddish/orange background is just perfect. The composition is good and the border is just spot on. The only thing I think could have been done better is what is reflectin in the cup. Maby if there where something more beautiful reflecting. Like a flower or a face or just something. Just some ideas :)

Good luck in future challanges :)

I really like the shapes in this picture. My eyes goes all over... round after round after round :) In my opinion there are a few things that might make this picture better. Not sure if they are all correct but this is what I think.
1. Contrast. I think it could have a bit more contrast in it. The color in the edges could be darker.
2. Crop. I think a slightly wider crop. Maby where you can see the edges of the flower and have lot of dof in it.
3. Dirt on flower. I know you couldn't have done nothing about because of the basic editing but the dark spots on the flowers are a bit disctracting.
4. Larger drops. Have some larger waterdrops?

I think that is about it...

Good luck in future challanges :)

Good luck in future challanges :)

Hey Tom. I like this picture alot. I think the lenseflare just helps the picture. It seems to be a bit out of focus or something. The sun is kinda blurry. Don't know what it is excatly. Can't really understand why it scored so badly. A good shot in my opinion.

Good luck in future challanges :)

What a beautiful bird. I like the tone of the picture. There are a few thing I think would help this picture to be even better.
1. Fliping the canvas horizontally. We read picture just like we read text from the left to the right. I start reading this picture and the palms and the back of the bird stops me right away. If you flip it the picture becomes more open in my opinion.
2. I like the palms and you are absolutly right abote it. It delineates the lines of the bird. But the ones out of focus in the foreground bothers me a bit.

All over a good picture beside those minor details. Try to flip it in photoshop and see what I'm talking about.

Good luck in future challanges :)

The light in this picture is just amazing. I like the crop. How you cut of the letters at the bottom draws my eyes to the STATE letters. I can almost feel the history of this building. The blue sky vs. the yellow building works well. Good use of complimentary colors. Good picture.

Good luck in future challanges.

If I had the power this one would have ended in first place by far. The contrast is just excellent and the crop is also good. The little girl looking at the man is a wonderful moment and makes this picture amazing. One of the far best picture you have taken in my opinion. Much better than the ones with a beautiful face and some scarf/clothing covering the face half way :) I would like to see more pictures like this from you. This is a real photograph! Great job. Just amazing!
