The world we all live inby marvinComment: Critique Club:
Sæll Róbert,
Fannst ég kannast við þessa diska og fékk það staðfest með þvà að kÃkja á prófÃlinn þinn að þú ert frá Ãslandi. Margir hafa litið á þetta sem engan "Fantasy World" og þessa vegna gefið henni ekki svo háa einkunn. Mér finnst eiginlega of mikið vera að gerast á myndinni. Truflandi þetta timbur à bakgrunninum og tré hérna à forgrunninum. Spurning hvort það hefði verið flottara að fara doldið nær og taka upp á diskana þannig að þeir væru það eina sem væri á myndinni.
En bara keep up the good work og gangi þér vel à framtÃðinni og næstu keppnum.
kveðja, árni (arnit) |

Heill og Sæll Jóhannes,
Myndin passar mjög vel við þemað og gæti alveg eins verið tekin à einhverjum öðrum heim. Góð mynd, myndbyggingin fÃn, reykurinn skemmtilegur. Sé að margir hafi verið að tala um að myndin væri geimleg og ábyggilega einhverjir sem hafa minnst á tunglið. Ãg væri til à að sjá þessa mynd aðeins minna unna. Mér finnst litirnir á húsinu og fjallinu vinstra megin á myndinni doldið ýktir. En kannski var það akkúrat sem þú varst að reyna að gera :) Góð mynd à alla staði og tveir þumlar upp fyrir þig.
kveðja, Ãrni Torfason (arnit) |

Hi Faizal,
Wanted to start saying I just loved your Heaven shot in the Ansel Adams competition.
This one looks good. The colors are just excellent. The compesition is good. The only thing I would like to see is a preson standing up on that hill. If so it would be a perfect ten.
Good luck in future challenges. Best Regards, Arnit |

Hey there Brando :)
Like the colors and the simplicity of it. Great idea that worked well. The border is just spot on. Great job. You deserved much more than 4.99
Best regards, Arnit |

Candylandby BlinksComment: Critique Club:
Hi there Shane,
What a wonderful world to live in. Candyland :) I'm gonna be honest. This is not your best shot. Just finished looking through your portfolio and you've got some wonderful shots. I think the problem with this shot is overprocessing. The idea is great but the final outcome dose not look so great. That is my oppinion. It would have been great to place a child on the picture picking a lollyflower or maby bending over and licking it.
Keep up the good work. Again... you've got some great shots in your portfolio.
Best wishes, Arnit |

Heill og sæll Magnús,
Mér lÃkar þessi mynd mjög. Myndbyggingin er mjög góð og litirnir frábærri. Bjallan vel staðsett à rammanum. Mjög lÃtið út á hana að setja ef ég á að segja alveg eins og er. Sem sagt myndina en ekki bjölluna :) Eina sem pirrar mig smá er þetta gras neðst à hægra horninu. Væri lÃtið mál að cropa það bara à burtu. Góð mynd à alla staði.
Hope you understand Icelandic :) |

The Wild Seaby babylonComment: Finally a good photograph with leading lines in it. I like the power of the ocean. The oceanline leads me to the photographer and then onward to the two rocks in the sea. And the birds in the background just makes it perfect. Good job and good luck. |

Balance by arnitComment: Shooting with 400mm F/2.8 and 1.4x extender you get 560mm and I took it at F/6.3 you will get this effect :)
Originally posted by MrAkamai: Congratulations on your ribbon! However, I see something that bothers me and it's the contrast between the bird and rock against the green background. It almost appears that the bird and rock were cropped out from another photo and then pasted onto the green background. I know I'm probably incorrect in that assumption but it just has that artificial feel. Regardless, looking beyond that it is a very nice and sharp photo and well done. |
