this is a funny little snapshot, voted low 'cause it's a little out of focus, flash is a little out of hand. figuring out which flat surfaces are gonna reflect more than their fair share of light (like the door) before you shoot is tough. how about you get your son to sit down in there (somehow), shoot from real low with no flash and a longer exposure, get a portrait of him as lord of his trashy domain.

i bet you've got one just like this only with the focus on the flower instead of the trash. bet the coke and snickers would've lent meaning even if they were a little blurry, would've made it an 8 instead of a 7. nice job though, like the composition.

would enjoy seeing the color version. b&w definitely makes it look desolate, more compelling that way? real good job, i like the empty sky, which is weird 'cause most times i favor silhouettes in the foreground and a full sky instead of detailed foregrounds and empty sky. works here though, 8 for you.
